An overview of new INTEGRAL Galactic Plane sources
Abstract
During INTEGRAL monitoring over the last six years, many new unidentified sources were discovered by IBIS (IGRs). We study the subclass of sources located in the Galactic Plane and hence probably of Galactic nature (binary systems). To understand the nature of these new sources, we perform a timing and spectral study of the persistent and outburst emission with a multi-wavelength approach whenever possible. We also place the sources in a Luminosity Diagram (2-10 keV versus 20-200 keV luminosity) to compare the sources themselves and with other previously well studied sources of known nature.
